Downtown Dickson’s Farmers Market to Hold Grand Opening May 30th

Dickson, TN — The Dickson County Farmers Market will officially celebrate its grand opening on May 30, 2026 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, food trucks, music and family activities as county leaders continue efforts to expand community events and support local vendors in downtown Dickson.

The announcement was made during the May 18th Dickson County Commission meeting by Commissioner Becky Spicer, who encouraged residents across the county to attend the event.

“We’re going to have a ribbon cutting and kind of a grand opening for the Dickson Farmers Market,” Spicer said during the meeting.

According to commissioners, the ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. and will include a variety of community activities throughout the morning. Organizers plan to feature food trucks, live music, face painting and other family-friendly attractions.

County leaders have promoted the farmers market as part of a broader effort to encourage local commerce, provide opportunities for area farmers and vendors, and create additional community gathering spaces in Dickson County.

The grand opening comes as interest in farmers markets and locally sourced products continues to grow across Middle Tennessee, particularly in fast-growing suburban and rural communities. Local officials hope the market will become a regular destination for residents while also helping support small businesses and agricultural producers in the county.

Additional details about vendors, schedules and future market dates are expected to be announced closer to the event.
